Insh Hall offers table tennis and a TV room. Loch Insh Outdoor Centre offers multi-sport activities on site. Guests can see the past come to life with 3D models of Badenoch's historic sites, such as the ancient hillforts at Dun da Lamh and Torr Alvie, Raitts Souterrain and the lost township, Easter Delfour Ring Cairn, as well as Ruthven Barracks, home of the Wolf of Badenoch and then more than 300 years later, at the time of the battle of Culloden. A specially designed artificial ice rink offers you a chance to show off your skating skills or experience the joy of ice skating for the first time. Ice Skating outdoors on sustainable Glice rink means skating is possible all winter, whatever the weather, on this innovative skating surface. The Loch Insh dry slope is the best place start for you and your family to learn at your own pace, away from the crowds on the mountain offering an amazing surface which eliminates many dry slope related injuries. A 45-minute session on the slope is followed by a lunch or tea in the restaurant, cakes also available on request. Flexible hires of Canoes, Kayaks, Pedalos, SUP paddleboards, and wetsuits available between 10 am and 5 pm.
Location Details
Insh Hall is located on the grounds of Loch Insh Outdoor Centre, in the foothills of the Cairngorm Mountains, at the lower end of Glen Feshie. Loch Insh is 1 mile outside the village on the other side of the Loch. Loch Insh is 2 km, Zip Trek Adventure Park Aviemore is 3 km, RZSS Highland Wildlife Park is 4 km, Highland Wildlife Park is 3 km and Frank Bruce Sculpture Trail is 2 km. Glen Feshie stretches out behind the centre with miles of great terrain for hill walking and mountain biking, as well as breathtaking opportunities for photography and meditation. The Badenoch Way is a walking route which connects Aviemore with Newtonmore. Aviemore and Kingussie are approximately 3 hours away by train. Flights arrive daily to Inverness, which is only an hour's drive north from Loch Insh.

Insh Hall is an integral part of family-owned business. There are two main drying rooms for use by groups, perfect for hanging all your clothing that gets soaked during activities onsite. Coin operated washing and drying facilities are available. We have a 12 seat shuttle bus which can be booked for collections to and from the train stations in Aviemore or Kingussie. Speyside SuperStars is the ultimate after-school adventure, designed to ignite children's passion for the great outdoors. Parents with children on the programme will be given priority for their children to remain in the programme in the immediately following block. We have a large lounge. Groups eat in the spacious Boathouse Restaurant which accommodates up to 90 in a single sitting. One group leader free for every 10 paying places.
